This past Saturday, we held our first fundraising event for a new venue that we're going to be operating - Carrick Classic Lanes!
For those who are unfamiliar with the area - Carrick is about a 10 minute drive from the South Side/Carson Street.
The first event struggled with attendance, but that was expected - getting people to come check out a new neighborhood that isn't really "known" for hosting live music is an uphill battle - but it's one that we're happy to fight.
The venue will START OUT as a small, DIY space for bar shows. We'll be hosting small concerts, local bands, rappers, comedians, burlesque artists, and other really cool stuff.
As we make progress on the restoration of the bowling alley, we plan to build a stage and increase the capacity from 150 to 250-400. Once the bowling alley is open, we will have the capacity to FINALLY run all ages shows and Emo Night events.

THIS DOES NOT MEAN that we're going to stop having our monthly event at Squirrel Hill Sports Bar, and we plan to continue playing at Bottlerocket Social Hall every few months. Both venues are run by amazing and supportive people, and music isn't a competition. A rising tide lifts all ships.
